[Processing Results] Prototype Mirror Production for Spectrometer Unit
This is a record of collaborating with Nano-Optonics Energy Co. to produce the image slicer unit.
We would like to introduce our achievements in the production of the prototype mirror for our next-generation infrared space telescope, the "Image Slicer Type Near-Infrared Spectrometer Unit." This prototype mirror for the spectrometer, part of the SPICA project, was jointly produced with Nano Optonics Energy Co. Through ultra-precision machining technology, we have achieved high-precision requirements. 【Overview】 - Utilizing slot tool servo processing with a diamond turning center, we can simultaneously perform spherical machining with different design values. - By processing multiple spheres simultaneously with a single chuck, we can minimize the errors of each sphere. - We are capable of precision machining of not only the spherical parts but also the reference surfaces that are crucial during processing and assembly, all in-house. - By conducting all processes in-house, we have significantly reduced lead times. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
